The continuing success of the Holyrood Summer School is built on the opportunity that each delegate has to pose questions, challenge and debate with the esteemed line-up of speakers and other participants. Jim Rennie, Managing Director of Eglinton, who hosts the School each year says "We observe the Chatham House Rule at the School. This means that speakers are able to frankly express their views and this provides a unique opportunity for our participants to engage with leading figures in an open style. The opportunity to discuss, learn and network continues beyond the sessions and through lunch, dinner and often later into the evening! This is what the School is all about, and year on year we receive excellent feedback from our delegates and their organisations that tell us that we create an invaluable development experience for them."
The School is limited to 30 places to create opportunities for all to participate. Over twenty of this years places are now booked, with half of the remaining taken by provisional bookings at this stage. To take the opportunity to attend this year's School and have one of the remaining places, you are advised to book now to avoid disappointment.

Eglinton launched its conference venue service, called "redcarpet", in May 2004 and we have been delighted by the feedback from our regular clients.
Ginny Jogee, Business Manager at Eglinton, says "We had some recent feedback from a new client that we were "the best secret venue in Edinburgh", and we decided that we would like to provide an opportunity for people who may be interested in space for team events, meetings or conferences to come along and have a look around."
"What we plan to do is hold an open day where people can come and have a tour of the facilities, with the redcarpet team on hand to answer any questions they may have. There will be some great food and drink for those who come, as well as a prize draw for one lucky winner. Also, any people who attend will be able to book their first event with a discount voucher, so they will save some money too!"
The redcarpet open day will be taking place on Wednesday 6 September 2006 from 11am-2pm. If you would like to attend please email Sean at redcarpet@eglinton.co.uk. We hope to see you on the day!
