What is Moving into Management?

This course is essentially a foundation in managing people however it is also useful for any managers who have never had development in this role.  

The programme provides an understanding of the complexities of the role of a manager, along with insight into how to manage others to achieve results, including a systematic approach to delegation; and an appreciation of the key interpersonal skills involved in dealing with teams and individuals.

People who are new to a management role or about to move into one and want to develop their management skills.


Programme Outcomes

With other managers, participants will explore what managerial effectiveness is and what it means – achieving goals and the core management skills required as a new manager.

Participants will develop a clear understanding of the difference in individuals they manage, how to build relationships with their team and how to give and receive feedback effectively.

This course will concentrate on the key skills of communicating and influencing, while also helping to look forward, through planning and delegation for results.  Participants create an action plan to put the learning they have gained into practice.
